Aspire BDC CE5 Clearomizer
The Aspire CE5 BDC looks a lot like other CE5's but it's really not even close, this is a new designed coil and the Aspire CE5 even has a standard 510 drip tip so your favorite drip tip will fit.
The CE5 comes with an aspire coils which is a bottom coil clearomizer featuring dual heating coils to provide twice the vapor while also taking advantage of a bottom feed design so that the coils are always being fed just enough juice. NO exposed wicks, the liquid goes into the two holes on the side of the coil. The CE5 has a capacity of approximately 2.2 ml of e-liquid and it comes pre-loaded with a 1.8ohm dual coil head.
The Bottom Dual Coil (BDC) design is a major upgrade when compared to similar single coil tanks not only because of the dual coils, but also because of the uniquely designed replaceable coil and airflow system. It was designed differently to eliminate common issues such as an airy draw, gurgling, and leaking that users often experience with other BCC tanks. It also works to eliminate outside influences on flavor to provide a true and pure taste experience.
This item is 510 threaded so will work on both 510's and eGos.
One Aspire BDC CE5 with one dual coil 1.8ohm installed coil (2.1ohm are available to purchase). The manufacturer states this coild is good from 3v to 5v (I like it a lot at 3.8v, gets a little burned taste at higher than 4.4v for me)
This is not a kit nor does it come in a box.
Replacement Heads for the aspire can be found here
This will take any aspire coil.
This is a polycarbonate plastic clearomizer Please click here to see what liquids NOT to use in thispolycarbonate clearomizer
How to fill and use your Aspire BDC CE5:
To fill, turn the tank upside down and remove the threaded end cap. Fill the outer portion of the tank (avoid getting e-liquid into the center airflow tube, this will cause gurgling and liqwuid spillage) and screw the end cap back onto the tank tightly.
Some have reported that the aspire doesn't do well with "thick" liquids, if you are vaping mostly VG then you will have a harder draw with these, they have two holes in the coil. If you run into draw issues with a thicker liquid thin it down, it will become easier.
Gurgling or Leaking can occur if liquid gets into the center airflow tube. If you experience this clear this liquid by blowing through the mouthpiece into a paper towel. The excess liquid will come out of the threaded end of the device. If this happens after it is cleaned out you may need to check that all connections are screwed down tightly or replace the head and wick assembly with a new one.
The head and wick assembly can sometimes loosen itself in shipping or when the threaded end cap is unscrewed to fill and refill. Always check that it is screwed into the bottom cap tightly tightly before screwing the cap back on. Not doing so could result in a leaking or non-working device.
Always keep it wet! This is a dual coil and is more susceptible to burn out than a standard single coil do not run the tank completely dry. Doing so could result in a burnt or damaged wick and can cause leaking. Refill the tank when the liquid level reaches approximately 1/3 full
The lifespan of replacement heads can vary quite a bit, but following the above instructions will maximize the lifespan of the coil. Coils are not warranted for any reason.
I like this one because it's completely clear and I can see my liquid, the performance has been nothing short of amazing for me. I like the Nova slightly better but this one is still the best CE5 out there right now. It's a little more than conventional CE5's but you will see why. I have not tested all 510 drip tips but the ones I have tested have all fit so it seems to be a win on that.

I have the CE5 type aspire, and works well for about 1/2 of the tank, than gets burned taste at 3volts on mod, have replaced head three times and same result, with all different heads, maybe I just got a bad one but it sucks IMO

While I won't be getting any more of this unit, I am going to look at the other clearomizers from Aspire. I LOVE the coils and performance from them, but the clearomizer came apart on me after only 1.5 weeks of use. The bottom band with the logo on it separated from the clear tube spilling liquid in my hoodie pocket. This would be a 5 star product if it were more durable.

I bought 2 of these, 1 failed in that the based came unglued from the bottom of the tank, and the head must have blown a coil cause it ohmed at twice what it should have. The second one is good though so far, these are poly tanks not glass. These tanks aren't full when you try to fill them with e-liguid only wind up with it filling about 2/3rds. reinstalling the base after filling can be tricky with this unit, just make sure it goes on straight as its easy to go crooked or cross thread.

I'm really enjoying this clearomizer. Seems to lose some oomph on day 3 but still a very satisfying vape.

One issue I had with past bottom coil clearomizers, is having to roll a papertowel into a needle to clean the shaft out. And also clean out the dripped liquid from the contacts. This is no longer an issue with Aspire, as it is leak proof and no gunky mess.
The other issue I had with bottom coil clearomizers, is the replacement coils were unpredictable. Sometimes you get a good replacement coil and other times it will be a dud, and last a short while. Then you have to take time to remove it and throw it away. You look into the can, and say to yourself, Why, Why, Why do they do this, where is the quality control? Why can't the replacement coils be consistent. Well, welcome to the future, Aspire replacement coils perform consistently.
The price maybe a bit more, but you are paying for quality and when you compare it to "duration" it will be the same or better, for example: Although you can push it more, one Aspire replacement coil will go for about 10 refills, and still taste great. Thats twice as much as a Kanger T3s. FYI, I use mostly tropical flavors, like Kiwi-Strwaberry and Fruit Smoothie, not to thick but just right.
I hope this bottom coil design stays prevalent in future designs. I know technology changes, and so I will be trying different clearomizers in the future, but for now this bottom coil clearomizer is perfect.
