I love these things, but they do have one issue. After a month of using mine, the cable on the bottom detached a bit, leaving the wires exposed. That's not as dangerous as it sounds, but it's something to look for. I am constantly getting mine stuck under the wheel of my desk chair so that probably had something to do with it! They do not have a holding knot in the base, so check it occasionally. I fixed mine originally by sliding the cable back up in and then when it came out again, I added a drop of superglue (because I am cheap! :) LOL!) So be aware and keep an eye on it. If it happens to you, break out the electrical tape or superglue.

I took the advice of Eric and other reviewers and secured the cord where it enters the unit with a bit of two-part epoxy. Works like a charm, and it's very convenient not to have to use up battery life whilst in the car or at my desk. I also like the variable voltage feature. Just a tip, I tried super glue first, and it flowed inside and managed to cement the button to the body of the unit, rendering it unusable :(. Eric was very helpful in replacing that unit (at a steep discount, I only paid shipping), but I do recommend steering clear of super glue. Great price for a great unit, and the best customer service on the internet, IMO.

For the price, this is a great unit. It works great when plugged into a computer, allowing me to vape comfortably whilst at my computer. The cord can sorta slide out of the bottom, but a spot of hot glue would seal it into place.
My experience in purchasing this item showed me how DiscountVapers shines when it comes to helping a customer. I received a faulty unit, after emailing DV, I got a prompt reply and a fresh unit in the mail the next day. The service here is courteous, friendly and patient, making DiscountVapers a gem amongst thousands of cold, impersonal online retailers.

I put a drop of super-glue on it as soon as I received it, and its been working great for about two weeks now. It works just like Eric says. I use the 3.7v (purple) on my long wick T2's with Tennesee cured juice. Great Vape. Saves on my batteries. Quick shipping as usual.

I really like USB Variable Voltage Mini Passthrough. Great price would recommend it.

It works great. The wire does come loose almost immediately, but easy to secure with a little krazy glue.
When I screw on a clearomizer, if I tighten a little too much the unit fires without me pressing the button, otherwise no issue. Great to keep in the car or at my desk.
Saw where one review said they really only have 2 settings...I didn't find that to be the case at all. Tried with several different clearos at all the settings, and there was absolutely a difference in each setting. Most of my clearos worked best at 3.6 or 4.2. The 4.8 setting was too much power for any of them. Got them on sale for under 9 bucks, about half what I saw them anywhere else.

loose wires you must glue them or they will pull out other than that it works great some instructions on how to adjust the voltage would be helpful.

I am very displeased with this product. After a week of using it, only used about 4 times, the chord at the bottom slipped out exposing the wire, then when i tried to fix it it just stopped working all together. Maybe i just got unlucky or something but i am very unhappy with this purchase. Everything I have ordered on this site is the highest quality and works great for me, as i am a returning customer. But this product just doesnt cut it

I've been using this for a few days now and I love it. It's very handy to have whenever I'm sitting at the comp. I can vape away without using up my batteries. Will I eventually pull the cord out of it? Only time will tell.

Convienent, works..watch out for the cable, I always push it up before I start vapping, it's rather loose. Get electric tape if it bugs you to much.

Nice little pass through, works great so far! Awesome price!!! Really like the variable voltage, nice extra feature. Good heavy cord with extra length. Thanks to previous postings, I immediately super glued the cord...thanks for the tip. That seems to be working so far. Would give 5 stars except for the weak cord connection.

When my kids take my 18500 because they forgot to charge their 18650 and I am left hanging. I fall back on this to get me thru. It does the job until I can get my SID back up and running. LOL I like the fact that I can just plug it in and vape. Thanks DV. another happy customer!!!

My review is going to be the same as others. The product works wonderfully but there needs to be something keeping the wire wire sleeve in the device. A simple knot would have done the trick.

I was relatively unhappy with other passthrough selections on other website and I saw this guy. It was a good choice and while the voltage is selectable, I find it satisfying with both my kanger mini protank and protank II. The size is a little small and not great for apparently my butchers hands. And, the wire as it connects to the unit is a little loose, and I believe has been stated before. I fixed both problems with a little sugru and it's more comfortable to hold, and the cable isn't going to be a problem anymore. 4 STARS!

get one of these chief sticks for a good time

this device is true variable voltage, tested it with a voltage meter. This device works pretty well. only complaint is the cord coming loose. you will definitely need to put some super glue at the base, because of that 4 stars.

I've had this for about a week now, and am very pleased!
It works perfectly, produces plenty of vapor, and I have not seen any issue so far with the wire fraying at the base of the P-T.

I bought 2 and took one apart. I think I know what the problem is.
Quite siply, the cord is absolute crap. It's a two wire stranded cord with no strain reduction collar or strain thread.
to make matters even worse the hole the cord goes through is actually sharp. If the cord doesn;t fail out of pure lack of safety features the housing will eventually cut it.
I reduced the issue by building a strain collar from rubber electricl tape (not the standard abs stuff, the old fashioned kind you have to use for small engines)
Works quite well now though it's kinda ugly. Whoever desogned that base cover needs a kick inthe pants. It's a very heavy cast piece of metal, that has no thought at all put into it. A simple tube with a mini or better yet micro usb plug would be vastly superior and very possibly cheaper to make.

This is a great little pass through. I've hooked it up at work and it's got a great stock voltage vape for most medium resistance coils. However, "Variable Voltage" isn't entirely true. It turns out there's really only two settings, standard, and direct voltage (meaning it uses whatever the voltage output of your USB port is). There's really no way to customize your voltage output. Plus, I had to find that information out on the forums since the product doesn't come with any user guides or anything. Still decent.

Great value! Works like a charm! The VV function is a nice bonus. I'm vaping it as I type this and not wasting any batteries! I've also used it in the car with excellent results.
I did put a dab of superglue where the cable meets the housing just as a preventative measure because of Eric's review...
For $15.00 it's a great addition to any arsenal!
